It was a heavy wet snow that fell into a steady wind for five or six hours. The storm was pushed east by high barometric pressure and it was suddenly clear as a bell and sunny. I shot these photographs in the Thatcher Woods Forest Preserve just off Chicago Avenue in River Forest.
